Location: Arthaus, downtown Decorah
Students will learn the basic principals and skill of video production by designing, producing, and editing a series of group video projects to be screened in a special block of the Oneota Film Festival in February 2014.
Along the way, they will explore the art of film appreciation; alternative modes of film-making outsdied the Hollywood model; the structure of fiction film versus documentary; the process of screenwriting, sound design, image design, and more.
In December and January, as the Film Festival approaches, students will have access to editing equipment and additional lab time at ArtHaus as they prepare to share their creations with the public.
